Subtle Musings of a Waking Welshman

This is where it all began.

As a young writer, I wanted to collect all of the poems and stories that I had accumulated to that point in my life. Call it an experiment, if you will.

So, summoning ambition I didn’t know I had, I found a way to set a manuscript and then explore ways to get it published. This was early on in digital publishing, so I was surprised to find an outlet that was cost efficient and let you retain all rights to your work.

After a little while, this book was born, and it even included the beginning of what might be considered the ‘beta’ version of The Book of Judges.

To sate your morbid curiosity, below you will find the descriptor of the book along with links to purchase it yourself, if you’re so inclined.

“Musings are defined as thoughts or meditations and this book is a compilation of thoughts that have been collected over ten years. Many are filled with love and faith, while others reflect the pain and darkness that comes only during the night.”

“This first collection from Derek Yarworth chronicles life’s journey from the innocence and expectation of youth through the cynicism and doubt that comes only after one faces the failures and triumphs that come with life. The poems and stories found within are as varied as the phases of the moon, some full of life and warmth while others are empty and cold like the darkness that comes with the new moon.”
